Every year the players vote for people who have stood out in the season and awards are given to them:
Clubman of the year -This is awarded to the person in the club who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Awarded to the person who has stood out as putting the most effort into developing the club. 1st XV Player - Awarded to a player that stood out throughout the season in the first team. 2nd XV Player - Awarded to aplayer that stood out throughout the season in the second XV. Rob Tagg Fresher Award - Named after the late Rob Tagg this award goes to a 1st year player who embodies the spirit of King's Rugby. Sword Award - This is given to the person that has shown he has both the largest strength of heart and some great tackles throughout the season. The winner gets awarded with an 1822 (King George iv) Cavalry sword which is kept at berrylands. The sword was given to the club by the Royal family as a mark of the Universities and the Rugby clubs link to the royals with the instruction that if and when the time came the purest player at the club would use it to use it to protect the crown. The sword was chosen to match the founder of King's College (King George iv) and the club was told that the late King used this particular sword on many occasions. In the late 19th century the club was the carer of the Jewelled Sword of offering that was made for the coronation of King George iv but it was later deemed too valuable. Most Improved Player - Goes to the player who has developed over their time at King's Rugby. 4 pint challenger - enough said
