Head Coach John Graves

Head Coach John Graves is the current Backs coach for Esher RFC (Championship Rugby Team). John started coaching King's Rugby mid season 2007/08 and had an immediate effect on the team boosting performances but unfortunately couldn't save the team from relegation.

He returned for the 2008/09 season and showed the team of King's Rugby what real rugby was. This became one of King's Rugby's most successful seasons to date with a win of the league, a win of the Gutteridge (ULU) Cup and a win at Varsity. It was widely accepted that the great performance of the team was due to John's Great coaching abilities which lead to some hard work from the team. 

 John continued with King's Rugby in 2009/10 and with the club he achieved some of the set targets that were laid down. The main target, to remain up in the current league, was achieved. Another target was to retain the Gutteridge cup and King's Rugby got to the final but were runners up in the end!

 John is set to continue with the club in 2010/11 and is very excited about a good intake of fresher’s into the club!
