King's College London RFC has enjoyed a successful 2009/10 season following on from the previous seasons promotion. Our aim of avoiding relegation was met with ease, finishing comfortably mid table. Another great cup run saw the club reach the final of the Gutteridge Cup (London Univeristy Cup) where an outstanding performance resulted in an unfortunate but narrow loss to a strong Imperial side who went into the game as favourites. The varsity game between King's and UCL was another triumph for the club with huge support from the student community and past players. Despite this UCL ran out victors in a closely fought game.

The 2nd team had another enjoyable season also finishing mid table in their league with some great performances during the season especially from a side with so many new players of varying ability.

On reflection the club has grown significantly from last season and the 2010/11 campaign will undoubtedly bring more success as we strive to cement the club's position in the most competitive university league of London rugby.

Off the field the social aspects of club life have been once again a huge success. Some great times have been had in the Berrylands clubhouse and throughout central London. From Viking night to Bad Taste, Pub Golf to Baywatch night, each outing has established new and ultimately worrying memories for the current boys and in many cases, no memory at all. once again the rugby team as set the standard for social events for the whole university and it will of course continue to do this next year.

A final thank you to all of those who were involved this year for continuing the club's success both on and off the field. I hope to see those of you not graduating (may include current 3rd years) next year along with a healthy intake of freshers.
